‘They Look Just Like Their Mama’: Shakira’s ‘Cute’ Sons Steal the Spotlight at the Grammys
The Colombian singer, who was excited to attend the event with her two sons, gave them a shoutout when she won an award.
Shakira and her sons, Sasha and Milan, made a stylish appearance at the 2025 Grammy Awards on February 2. Fans couldn’t help but gush over how much they resembled their famous mom.
The brothers wore matching silver tuxedos and walked confidently next to their mom who was in her performance attire. Later, Shakira changed into a dress made up of a silk jersey body suit as she walked the red carpet. The suit was adorned with orange and black floral motifs and it came with a mermaid-style gown in black lace.

The pop of color of the bodysuit was perfectly balanced with the sequin lace skirt featuring a slit and a long train. However, it wasn’t Shakira’s stunning performance and appearance that caught fans’ attention—her adorable sons became the center of attention with their striking resemblance to her.
One fan commented sweetly, “They’re both her clones ❤️.” Another admirer agreed, “They look just like their mama, Shakira really reincarnated herself twice 😍.“ One fan singled out her youngest son, noting, “The little one is her twin.”
Shakira’s boys earned plenty of compliments, with a fan calling them “Gorgeous boys like mama 😍.” Their outfits also received praise, as one fan remarked, “They are so cute and they looked so stylish….loved their matching tux jackets!!” Another admirer appreciated the whole family’s presence, stating, “She’s lovely and her sons are very handsome ❤️.”
Shakira, who shares her sons with ex Gerard Piqué, was also celebrating her 48th birthday on the day the 67th Grammys were held. An interviewer serenaded her with a birthday song, creating a heartwarming moment. During this interview, she gushed about how exciting it was to attend the event with her boys.
She said, “For them, the biggest lesson they probably can learn from me is how hard I work and that nothing comes easy and everything is the result of discipline and commitment. And that’s one of the things I want to teach them and tonight for the Grammys is no exception. We’ve been working hard to present something nice for the people.”
At the Grammys, Shakira performed “Ojos Así,” from her 1998 album “Dónde Están los Ladrones?” and the viral hit “Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53,” from her latest album “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran.”
This latest album also earned her a Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Album. She received kisses and hugs from Sasha and Milan when Jennifer Lopez called out her name as the winner of this category.
In her acceptance speech, she expressed deep gratitude to her boys, “I want to share this award with my kids, Milan and Sasha, who are here with me. I’m so proud of you guys, of your kind hearts. Thank you so much for supporting me the way you do. I love you. Thank you!”
The mom of two also acknowledged all women striving to give their loved ones a better life. “And to all of those women who work really hard every day to provide for their families, you are the true she-wolves. So this is for you too,” she noted.
After her breakup with Piqué, Shakira, Sasha, and Milan moved from Barcelona to the US. The exes welcomed their first son, Milan Piqué Mebarak, on January 22, 2013.
Their second son, Sasha Piqué Mebarak was born on January 29, 2015, at 9:54 p.m. in Barcelona. Sasha was born via a scheduled cesarean section in a private hospital, the same one where Milan was born.
Shakira and Piqué started dating in 2010. The duo on the set of her music video for “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa),” which served as the official song of the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
In 2022, they announced that they were parting ways, “We regret to confirm that we are separating. We ask for privacy at this moment for the well-being of our children, who are our maximum priority. Thank you in advance for your understanding and respect.”
After this separation, Shakira went through rocky times, undergoing a public fallout while trying to be there for her kids. Now, even with life’s challenges, she is grateful to be here and proud of the powerful woman she is.
“I’ve grown a lot. I’ve learned a lot of lessons. Life hasn’t always been kind, but it’s been a good teacher,” she shared. The singer, who has a music career spanning over 30 years, is excited to keep on making power moves.
